WTF?!?

Have you heard about this?! TV Producers want to make a reality TV competition out of stalking celebrities on Twitter! It's completely outrageous! Here's the original article from Variety.

Twitter writes on their blog that they are not making the TV show themselves, but allowing TV execs to "leverage" Twitter, because it is "yet another way the ecosystem is enriched for everyone who uses Twitter."

The ecosystem is enriched?? What a bunch of bullcrap! I'm sorry, but it is. Who decided that celebrities are non-people that can be hunted and tracked for the entertainment of the masses? Even if a celebrity agrees to participate and gives full permission to allow this, it's still wrong on so many levels.

A TV show like that isn't going to enrich my Twitter experience, especially if it means the celebrities who currently interact with their fans on Twitter decide to stop tweeting because of this. (There are other celebrities not mentioned in the CNN article who are Tweeting they will leave also.) It certainly won't enrich the celebrity's experience using Twitter either.

I really hope they come to their senses and pull the plug.
