I've been looking forward to today since last month's 12 of 12, especially once I realized today would be a Saturday, and that my family and I had theatre tickets! By the end of the day, I had taken 75 photos--Yikes!--which I narrowed down to seventeen, and here are the final twelve I chose:
~ ONE ~
9:30 am - backyard, Anaheim, CA
Woke up this morning to lovely rain!
~ TWO ~
9:30 am - front porch, Anaheim, CA
My kitty Missy wants to go out and play, but she doesn't like the rain.
~ THREE ~
1:45 pm - South Coast Repertory, Costa Mesa, CA
Rainy leaf on the path to the theatre.
~ FOUR ~
1:45 pm - South Coast Repertory, Costa Mesa, CA
More rainy leaves on the path.
~ FIVE ~
2:00 pm - South Coast Repertory, Costa Mesa, CA
It's a Christmas tradition for my family to come see A Christmas Carol at SCR. This was the 22nd year we've come to see it, and the same actor has been playing Scrooge all 30 years the theatre has been putting on this play.
~ SIX ~
2:15 pm - South Coast Repertory, Costa Mesa, CA
C'est moi!
~ SEVEN ~
2:15 pm - South Coast Repertory, Costa Mesa, CA
My lovely sister!
~ EIGHT ~
2:15 pm - South Coast Repertory, Costa Mesa, CA
My lovely cousin, with a lovely hair clip!
~ NINE ~
2:15 pm - South Coast Repertory, Costa Mesa, CA
My poor parents, waiting...
~ TEN ~
5:30 pm - Scott's Seafood Restaurant, Costa Mesa, CA
This is the other half of our Christmas tradition. After the play, (which was especially wonderful this year) we walk over to Scott's for dinner. Fine dining, but that doesn't stop my family from horsing around.
~ ELEVEN ~
6:30 pm - Scott's Seafood Restaurant, Costa Mesa, CA
My uncle and my other cousin; Like father, like son.
~ TWELVE ~
6:30 pm - Scott's Seafood Restaurant, Costa Mesa, CA
Spoons-in-law!

Very dignified, what with the spoons and all. Looks like fun!
Nice 12! and Happy Holidays!
HAHA love the spoon pics :) Hope you all had a great time at the theatre.
Hee, I love traditions like that, where you've been for 22 years and it's still the same guy! And then the meal after, with goofing around. Looks like a lot of fun :D
Thank you, khowaga, Pete, and Dogeared, for your wonderful comments! Made my day! =D Happy Holidays to you!
An actor forwarded me the link to your blog because in an amazing case of art imitating life, your family traditions of SCR's "A Christmas Carol" and Scott's Seafood parallel my one-act play currently being performed at The Empire Theatre in Santa Ana. My play, "A Christmas Kris," also mentions that the same actor has been playing Scrooge for 30 years. See New Voices Playwrights Theatre review in OC Register Sunday 12/13/09, Arts & Entertainment page 4, or online at http://www.ocregister.com/entertainment/christmas-223403-browne-mona.html. Such a coincidence! Come see it through 12/20.
Love those spoons on noses! (And your cousin's hair clip!)
